Greetings Club Members,

BSPSC is going to have a painting party! No, not a pity party (that is what I usually have after I see my match scores posted.) We are going to paint our target shed/stats shack, wall shack, and tractor shed. They have all been pressure-washed and are ready for some serious rejuvenation. Randy Stemple and the WMFGA Directors have generously agreed to supply the paint materials and BSPSC will supply the labor. We will be painting all of the buildings in the same color scheme as the bathroom building. This will brighten up our buildings and allow all of them to blend together.

We will also paint and prepare new fault lines that will be stored on new racks attached to the outside of the target shed. The new storage location will make it easier for setup crews to access the fault lines without climbing over poppers, targets, VW Beetles, and other equipment in the shed. Special thanks to Lee Bergman and Randy Hutcheson for removing trees, vegetation, and angry wasps from the side of the target shed.

The painting party will start at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday/Thursday (AUG 19/20), and Saturday/Sunday (AUG 22/23). If you are not a WMFGA member, and need access to help, please send me an email and I will arrange for you to be let in (getting out may require negotiations.) We will be using latex stains and paints, so cleanup should be easy. If you have rollers, brushes, trays, sawhorses, or a 6/8 foot ladder, please bring them with you. We have jobs for every skill level, so please join us if you can. If you can still hold on to something other than a brush after painting, don't forget about our Wednesday night practice.

On the subject of setup crews, please thank Vic Fink when you get the chance. Vic has been busy welding pairs of target feet together so that spacers will no longer be needed when setting up stages or practice sets. In addition to reduced setup time, the welded target feet will provide better stability in windy conditions.

We will be designing new storage options for the target feet and other equipment in the sheds. Thanks to Kevin Pfau we have heavy duty shelving that he donated for the target shed. If time and energy permit, we may organize some of the equipment in the sheds during the paint party.

By popular request, we will have another multigun match on August 30th. Thanks to Andy Hubbard (2 stages), Carter McFarland, Nate Martin, and Scott Giesick, we should have a great match with interesting/challenging/frustrating stages. As soon as I can finish converting their wicked ideas into SketchUp diagrams, we will post them on our website along with a registration link.

Our next Board of Directors meeting will be at 6:00 p.m. on September 1st in the West End training room. The BOD meetings are a great opportunity to contribute to the management of the club.

Thanks for all of your great club participation!
